condensed milk pound cake

Ingredients:
226 gram  butter
100 gram sugar
½ cup condensed milk
5 eggs
250 gram flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt


1. Prepared a baking pan. Grease well and line it with parchment paper. Pre-heat the oven to 170C.
2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in egg, one at a time until well incorporated.
3. Add in the condensed milk, vanilla and mixed well.
4. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Slowly add the flour into the batter. Mix well.
5. Pour the batter in to the baking pan, give the baking pan a few knocks on the working counter (take out the air bubbles) and bake for 50minutes or until golden brown.

kari sardin


sarapan pagi ni roti boom cicah dengan kari sardin

Bahan-Bahan
1 biji bawang besar - hiris bulat
3 ulas bawang merah *
2 ulas bawang putih *
1/2 inci halia *
2 biji ubi kentang dipotong dadu
1 biji tomato di hiris
1 tangkai daun kari
1 paket kecil serbuk kari ikan (di bancuh dengan air)
1 tin besar sardin makerel
sedikit air asam jawa
sedikit minyak masak
sedikit garam

Cara-cara
1. Tumbuk hancur bahan-bahan bertanda *. Panaskan minyak.
2. Tumis bahan yang ditumbuk bersama bawang besar dan daun kari sehingga wangi.
3. Masukkan serbuk kari dan air. Biar mereneh dan pecah minyak.
4. Masukkan kentang, air, dan garam. Masak hingga kentang empuk.
5. Masukkan air asam jawa dan sardin. Biar hingga mendidih dan sebati.

Sedia untuk dihidang bersama roti.

agar-agar gula melaka


Ingredients:
20g agar -agar strands (wash to soften)
150g palm sugar - chopped roughly
1 screw pine leaf - tied into a knot
5 cups water
220ml coconut milk
a pinch of salt

Method:
In a pot, add washed agar-agar strands, screw pine leaf, palm sugar and water to boil. Cook in simmer till the sugar and agar-agar dissolve in water and turn to a golden syrup. Give a stir occasionally.

Once the syrup is half from its original, remove from heat. Discard the screw pine leaf. Sieve the syrup into another pan. Place on heat again and add coconut. Simmer for 2-3 minutes before pouring on mould.

Let it cool in room temperature then place it refrigerator.

my eldest celebrates her 11th birthday today. happy birthday kakak. we had lunch at the Wendy's last saturday as per her request. macam KFC ja cuma tak ramai. senang tak yah beratur panjang-panjang nak order. sambut sekali dengan hari guru & hari telekomunikasi :)

Chocolate Pound Cake Recipe:


1/4 cup (25 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons boiling water
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 1/4 cups (125 grams) sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (175 grams) granulated white sugar
13 tablespoons (185 grams) unsalted butter, softened and cut into pieces


Preheat oven to 177 degrees C and place rack in center of oven. Butter and line the bottom of  a loaf pan with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl mix the cocoa powder into the boiling water until smooth. Let cool to room temperature and then whisk in the eggs and vanilla essence.

In the bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar) and mix on low speed for about 30 seconds or until blended.

Add the butter and half of the chocolate/egg mixture. Mix on low speed until the dry ingredients are moistened.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Gradually add the remaining egg mixture, in 2 additions, beating about 30 seconds after each addition to incorporate the egg and strengthen the cake's structure.

Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.

Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover loosely with a piece of lightly buttered aluminum foil after about 25 minutes to prevent overbrowning.

Remove the cake from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan, re-invert, and cool completely on a lightly buttered wire rack.
